A 21st Century Tree Strategy for Wandsworth

The Wandsworth Tree Warden Network is urging the council to review their current tree strategy and consider a long-term commitment to increasing the borough’s tree canopy with a view to creating an ‘urban forest’.  We want to encourage a greater understanding of the value and numerous benefits afforded by our local tree stock, which forms a hugely valuable and important green infrastructure within the borough.  This green infrastructure, however, needs to be managed and developed in such a way as to ensure its many benefits are maximised for the enjoyment and good of all.  For more information please read our discussion document, A 21st Century Tree Strategy for Wandsworth.
